Medicare Insurance Basics

If you are new to Medicare, let us help you understand your Part A (hospital), guide you in applying for Part B (medical), and identify the effective date and benefits of both. We can also lend you a hand in getting the Part D (drug) coverage and avoid any penalties.

Medicare Insurance Options

Our team can walk you through these different possibilities:

  • Original Medicare: To apply for Part A and Part B and to avoid Part D penalties, you must have a stand-alone prescription drug plan or creditable drug coverage.
  • Medicare Advantage or Part C Plan: This covers Part A and Part B coverage. It often includes Part D as well.
  • Supplement or Medigap Plan: You must have a stand-alone prescription drug plan or creditable drug coverage to avoid Part D penalties.
  • Continue on your current employer’s coverage (if available, affordable, and creditable)
